Middle School Coach
Jess Blauwkamp is the self-contained middle school teacher. She graduated from Cornerstone University in 2017 with a degree in special education, as well as history and English. She loves working with middle school students because she loves to see and be a part of both the academic and social growth that happens in middle school. Jess has spent time teaching in a variety of educational settings, including teaching outdoor education and leading adventure experiences in camp settings. She came to G2S because of the unique learning opportunities G2S offers to its students by using the project-based learning model. In her free time, Jess likes to crochet, sew, and go rock climbing and hiking.
Dan Lubin has been a part of the Gateway to Success team since its opening in the Fall of 2016. After graduating Bowling Green State University with a Biology degree, I spent time working in informal education at Casper Mountain Science School in Casper, Wyoming, and the Farmington Hills Nature Center in Farmington Hills, MI. I decided to go back to school at Oakland University to get my teaching certificate and Masters Degree in Secondary Education. I was excited to meet the Gateway to Success crew at a teachers fair at Eastern Michigan University and their commitment to Project-Based Learning (PBL) is what drew me to the school. Together with a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to providing the students and community an engaging and educational experience to grow. Thank you for choosing G2S! Wolfpack Strong!

He is now teaching Algebra, Geometry and Finance courses linking math to application consistent with the project-based learning approach at G2S. He is the father of three daughters, a grandfather of five and he thinks of the students at G2S as just another extension of the family. He enjoys the humor students bring to school.
